The old vicarage is for sale in Pécsely, 8 km from Tihany, in the Balaton Upland National Park. The vicarage was built at the turn of the Century. The overall renovation and reconstruction of the main building has begun, the construction of the outbuildings is completed. The vicarage had been operating as a guest house before and it is still authorized for providing accommodation and catering. The main building is 250 m2, lies on an 1800 m2 plot, suitable for housing at least 20-25 people. A further 1500m2 plot bordering the vicarage could be purchased too.

The Operation Szimplak is trying to lead by example in reconceptualizing the present principles of domestic and inbound tourism in and around the Balaton Upland area.
The concept seeks to reveal the natural values and ecotouristic potential in the broader Balaton area all year around, in sharp contrast to the current, predominating way of focusing solely on the narrow spatial and temporal interval of ’summer on the Balaton beach’, as such.

By turning an old vicarage into a sophisticated, landscape friendly inn (called Szimplak) with cutting edge eco-design, we attempt to encourage people to discover the Balaton Upland, while appreciating the services and facilities of the eco-inn.
Szimplak is supposed to host company gatherings as well; according to the initial plans a mini ’conference-stable’ was to be established on the neighbouring site in form of a zero-energy-hall.
